This is a general article on how astrology should be used in terms of Love and Romance. So many people ask why a sign that is supposed to be compatible doesn't work for them. Or why when there was so much sexual attraction that the relationship didn't last. Even why when they love someone it didn't work because they ultimately couldn't live with them. Hopefully this article will help with some of those questions. Astrology is a tool to guide you in a possible direction but of course we all have free will and we don't always listen. More so with romance and love our emotions come into play and that is something very different to our Sun sign so read below. We have also been asked about having a forum or contact page so we will look into that very shortly to help with your questions. Look out for the links coming soon.

As said above Love and Romance are connected to the Moon, Venus and Mars side of your chart with the Sun and Ascendant playing a part in the general relationship. This means that a whole chart has to be taken into consideration really when looking at what makes us tick in relationships and what will work and what won't. However this article is not about specifics it is about how we can look at our relationships in love and see why things work and why they don't. Without seeing the bigger picture no amount of guidance from astrology will work no matter how much information is given.

The first flush of romance can be a powerful pull in any relationship. Many people mistake infatuation for love. The latter takes time and a romantic relationship adjusts and so does the love within it. "Happy Ever After" is something that few of us attain. Is it realistic - for many of us - probably not. It may seem harsh to say. The reason is relatively simple. Relationships need work. To find that soul mate is really not easy. You could meet someone that you have an almost instant electric connection and that may well remain. Sexual compatibility is between the Mars and Venus of one's chart. If both are in harmony with each other it can have a magnetic pull. However if the moon signs are not a good match then this can eventually lead to hurt. Other elements of a chart can also lead to tension. This is why some people ask why they are more attracted to signs they are not supposed to be attracted to them the ones that they should be attracted to. Our Venus sign is generally within three signs close to our Sun. So for instance, if we are a Scorpio, our Venus can be in Libra, Scorpio or Sagittarius. Basically in our own or either side. It is rare that this rule does not apply. A Libra is very different from a Scorpio but if they share the same Venus sign there could be a lot of understanding. If they have compatible Mars signs then there could be a lot of attraction. Then the Ascendant sign would come into play and if this is compatible then you could have a match. However if the Moon signs are not a good match then this can work to compound the basic nature of the two which is not a smooth one. This is not to say that it won't work but there would have to be compromises.

This may work for some pairs and not for others. For instance a Leo really loves the romance in a relationship (applies to Moon, Ascendant and Venus in the chart too). In fact those with Moon and Venus can be more demanding of keeping the romance in a relationship than Sun Leos. Settling for a smooth daily routine can be abhorrent to them. They want the excitement of the first flush to remain. They also work to keep it going. In fact they have the right attitude in many ways. Relationships need work but with Leo it has to be shown in ways they can appreciate rather than subtle ways. Unlike Libra who just want the security of love and support from a partner and knowing they will be there. No flashy adulation required. However a Libra with a Leo Ascendant will definitely want the partner to be showy and adore them. You can see that things get very complicated. This is why there really is no hard and fast rules to who we are compatible with and who we are not. You have to go into a birth chart to find out. Our emotions, the way we share love and our sexual nature are very important in sustaining a relationship. Many marriages fail because they didn't let the relationship develop enough to find out what makes their partner really tick. We also fool ourselves in that first flush phase. We may ignore the little hints at trouble that we see because we are "head over heels in love". Perhaps look at it this way - if you have a bad day, you argue and you can still feel that this is "the one", then the signs are good. It is definitely the little things. Does your partner do things that you hate, like leave the cap off the toothpaste. If you are in the first flush of romance you may well forgive them for it but two years or more down the line it will begin to niggle and when you have a disagreement it will vex you even more. Maybe that's why they say never go to bed mad - well apart from anything it is likely to keep you awake! Seriously you will know when you have met "the one". You won't have to ask anyone. Listen to the inner voice. Let the first flush subside and see the real person. Sex and attraction are one thing. Love is a thing apart.
